Statement of Faith

The basic foundation of our Christian faith is contained in these articles.

We believe that the Bible is the only Divinely-inspired, written revelation of God and is the final authority on all matters of faith and human behavior.

We believe in one sovereign God whom we call Jesus of Nazareth who was manifest in the flesh for thirty-three and a half years.

We believe in the eternal preexistence of Jesus Christ as God and that He took the form of man to be born through a virgin, live a sinless life, manifest a miraculous ministry, and fulfill an atoning death. We also believe in His triumphant resurrection, His ascension, His return on the Day of Pentecost in the form of the Holy Ghost, His continuous abiding intercession, His imminent return in glory, and His establishment of an earthly kingdom which shall fill the earth with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

We believe in eternal salvation for sinners as a free gift bestowed by sovereign grace through faith alone in the blood atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. By grace we are saved through faith, and that faith is imparted by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8).

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for believers and in the observance of the Lord's Supper for true believers.

We believe in holiness of life and being separated from all worldliness and evil.

We believe in the nine fruits of the Spirit. The grace of God in the lives of believers will enable them to obey the commandments, statutes, and judgments as codified by Moses, amplified by our Lord Jesus Christ, and confirmed by the lives of the early church.

We believe in the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is received at the point of repentance, and in faith and confession of Christ as Savior and Lord and in the spiritual manifestations He bestows. We also believe in the five- fold ministry of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers and that all these ministries have their proper place in any and all God-ordained local assemblies.

We believe that the self-governing local church is the only religious organization on earth with Biblical warrant and that a "church" by any other conviction other than that of Christ is not a church by Biblical definition.  We believe the local assembly should be supported by freewill tithes and offerings.

We believe in the resurrection of the wicked at the Day of Judgment and in their age-lasting punishment in the lake of fire. We also believe in the new heavens and the new earth as the saints' everlasting abode.

We believe in the national historicist principle of interpretation of the prophecies of the Bible.

We believe that man-made organized religions and denominational boundaries are unscriptural and that the local assembly should be a self-supporting sovereign church, pursuing the vision of Christ in that particular community and supporting missionary efforts as a headquarters for disbursement.

We believe that membership of the local assembly is based on a born-again experience, regular attendance, consistency in tithing, a holy lifestyle with Christ as the example, and participation in overall church vision in all areas of ministry.
